ABOUT AHEAD OF THE CARVE

The Story

Ahead of the Carve was started in 2001 by Kiara Tanswell. When shopping for kitchen and tablewares for her own home, she felt she could never find those unique, high quality products that would set her home apart. Ahead of the Carve opened its first store in Manly in 2001,  and in the first 5 years the business expanded to locations in Chatswood, North Ryde and St Ives. With demand growing into the greater Sydney region and beyond, Ahead of the Carve opened its online store in January 2019.

We are very thankful for all our loyal customers, and are constantly seeking to partner with more reputable brands to our offering and continue our reputation as a 'one-stop shop' with exceptional customer service.

KIARA TANSWELL

Founder and Owner

Kiara is the founder of Ahead of the Carve. With her career staring in Business Management and Human Resources, Kiara started Ahead of the Carve in Manly and has been responsible for its expansion and strategic vision, recognising the demand for an online store and developing Digital Marketing and E-Commerce Teams. She started Ahead of the Carve with a vision to fill the gap in the kitchenware industry, providing a boutique experience while also carrying large name brands.

How we do our bit

A large part of what fulfils our staff at Ahead of the Carve is our community service. We offer staff 2 days of community service leave, on top of any company volunteering events.
We are proudly partnered with the Northern Beaches Women's Shelter, and most recently we hosted a wrapping fundraiser, collecting donations from customers as well as donating our own products to provide families for Christmas time.
